To purchase this deed-restricted home, interested buyers must submit the Town of Avon Deed Restricted Housing Application to The Valley Home Store to certify household eligibility. Buyers must meet the requirements in the Avon Community Housing Policies and the Price Capped Deed Restriction, which define who may own the home and set a Maximum Sales Price to maintain long-term affordability.

If two or more offers are otherwise equal, priority is assigned as follows: first to households below 100% AMI, then to those below 120% AMI, and then to those below 140% AMI. Meeting a lower income category increases priority, but selections are not based on income alone. Additional priority is given to applicants who have worked full-time in Eagle County for at least five cumulative calendar years.

How to Apply

  • Contact your lender to secure a prequalification letter. This document confirms your financial readiness to purchase a home and is required to proceed with your application.

  • Access the Town of Avon Deed Restricted Housing Application.

    • Carefully review all instructions and complete every section of the application. You may fill out the application electronically or by hand, but you must print the completed form and deliver a hard copy to The Valley Home Store.

    • This process is different from using The Valley Home Store’s Online Application Portal. The Town of Avon Deed Restricted Housing Application must be submitted as printed hard copies. Electronic submissions will not be accepted.

  • Submit all required supporting documents with your Town of Avon Deed Restricted Housing Application to verify your residency, employment, income, and eligibility. Refer to the application instructions for a complete list of required documents and detailed submission guidelines.

    Note: Each deed‑restriction program is unique and may include specific requirements. Review the deed restriction and applicable housing guidelines for the property to ensure you meet all criteria.

  • The Town of Avon Deed Restricted Housing Application includes a Buyer Bid Sheet, also known as an Offer Form. Ensure all required fields are completed accurately.

  • Deliver the completed Town of Avon Deed Restricted Housing Application and all required supporting documents as a hard copy to The Valley Home Store’s designated broker.
